Summary
A wide field, high accuracy digital video camera checks a 1 meter long section of the bar. The system continuously displays a highly magnified image of the bar shape, and provides numerical readout of overall deflection. BarMonitor can measure deflections as small as 0.03 mm per meter (0.0004 inch per foot). No moving parts.
