Summary
Bavurex is a machine-vision based technology to perform accurate measurements of the shape of burrs. Works in the industrial environment, for instance to check the burr on edges of shear-cut metal sheets. Reads and saves to a file the profile of the burr. Checks that the burr remains within a given tolerance interval. Fits burrs from 5 microns (2/10,000 inch) to 0.75 mm (3/100 inch) high.
Bavurex can be integrated into a hand-held sensor for manual inspection, or into an automatic sensor, fixed or installed in a manufacturing machine.
