PPM is a portable 2D automatic measuring machine with a new design, the solution for performing dimensional controls of parts with a flat face, and of cross-sections of tubes, rods, and profiles, on the spot, right in the shop.

• using the mouse, the operator selects in a list the model of the desired part,
• he sits the part on PPM's glass plate,
• now he just has to press one single function key to have PPM measure the part.

PPM automatically and instantly displays the whole set of dimensional readings. Out-of-tolerance dimensions show on a red background. PPM's accuracy is +/- 5 microns or better.

Once the part measured the operator can view the graph of the evolution of the measurements, view and print the control report for the current part, or store the latest readings into PPM's database, making them available to PPM's integrated SPC system. Each feature is available by pressing one function key.

With PPM, non-expert users now have a way of performing accurate and reliable dimensional controls, in seconds, and close to the manufacturing process.

• Every year a new "trade solution" by Satimage becomes an industrial inspection system providing a high added value to some industrial sector.
